What a day! The weather is great and we are cruising from Puerto Madryn to Stanley Faulkland Is. We spent most of the day on the pool deck, not sure what the temperature was but I got a good tan and Raylene well you can guess what her color is. The book I mentioned the other day I actually finished it, that is a first in a long time for me. As our internet is via satellite we have a lot of trouble putting picutres up on the blog, we have to do them one at a time else we get shut down and have to start all over again. I will try put some more up tomorrow.
Friday Dec. 1
Today
we arrived in the Falkland Islands, temperature about 51 degrees F. with quite a breeze so we bundled up for the boat ride into the dock and tour of the city. While initially we thought why would anyone want to live here, we were pleasantly surprised with the history of the place and the friendliness of the people. Being part of the Commonwealth, English is spoken, traffic travels on the wrong side of the road and it has a very definite British aura about it. After reading about the 1982 war between Argentina & Britain it was interesting to hear first hand from the local tour guide. As a bonus, we had a couple of hours to wander the town, had the absolute BEST calamari ever at the local hotel. Then back to the ship and on our way further south. So far have had calm seas and warm weather so are enjoying this plus all the entertainment offered
on board.

Sounds like you are having fun and the weather looks super in the pictures.
Winter has arrived in our area by Tuesday it is suppose to be about -8. Around here that will be cold.

I haven't book it yet but I am going to go visit Mark & family the middle of January. I am not going to rent a car this time so maybe, if the weather is good, you can drive down. We could get to see your pictures maybe.
