One long day !

Wednesday morning finally arrived. I think Ray packed and repacked the bags all night. We were up about 6:30 and on the road by 7:30 with bags and cats packed up. We were at Wendy’s by 8:00. The cat’s were not too happy, Tigger even gave me a good hiss as I put him into the “Cat Appartment”.
Where Ray worried about packing bags, I thought about how bad the roads would be, as you know the roads were great and we were into Calgary early. We gave Colin a call and met for lunch, after lunch we still had time to burn so we hit a couple stores, being unable to find anything to spend money on the airport was the next stop. The flights from Calgary to Toronto and Toronto to Buenos Aries, were uneventful. Our flight from Toronto left at midnight and arrived at 3:00 pm on Thursday, Buenos Aries time. There was a total of 5 hr lost with 3 from Toronto. Neither one of us slept very much during the night. I had got some sleeping pills but we did not have them with us as when we went thru the security check we had some contraband that had to be check thru with the baggage. You guessed it that is where the sleeping pills were ! I had booked a car to pick us up at the airport to bring us to the El Conquitador. That was very much worth it. This is not a city that I will be renting a car, the traffic is terrible.
After a short nap we headed out for a walk to find something to eat. We found the market street. Lots of stores, markets in the middle of the street, and a very large crowds of people milling about on the street ( none of our pictures show the crowds.) The store ownerS we out on the
street trying to talk us in with great deal being offered ! It was interesting walking about in Central Park. Some of the trees which we felt were a type of Banyon Tree, were extremely large. There we some very interesting locals in the park.
As it has been a very long day and a half we are back to the hotel and ready to have a good nights sleep. There is a city tour booked for tomorrow morning so will have to be up fairly early.

Sorry to hear that you were pick pocketed. That is one thing we are very aware of on our trips. Bob always keeps his hands in his pocket and he uses the secret pocket in the Tilley pants.

Looks like the weather is wonderful. I just checked La Paz weather and it is a good thing we are home now. Enjoy.
